History Background

Vattanac Sahakum Organization (VSO) was established on  19 September 2011 at Phnom Penh by a group of Cambodian people who have concerned about living of poor people in Cambodia especially women group. This organization operates as a non-government, neutrality, does not race discrimination, does not political trend, and does not serve the interests of any political party.

Vattanac Sahakum Organization (VSO) has registered with the Royal Government of Kingdom of Cambodia on 02 November 2011, certification #1644 Sor Chor Nor of the Ministry of Interior. 

Vision 

Poor people especially women group, they will have living in standard and harmony through creating and extending of small business by themselves potentially and sustainability. 

Mission

To improve poor people especially women group for living in standard through educational direction to make initiative idea for staring and extending of small business for increasing daily family income.

Goal

To support poor people for standard living in sustainable especially women group.

Logo   

The logo of the Vattanac Sahakum Organization (VSO) is colorful picture of both female and male expressed prosperousness and harmonization which has Khmer word under logo stated “Vattanac Sahakum” and under the Khmer word has English word stated “Vattanac Sahakum”

Long term Strategy

1. Income Generation 

Vattanac Sahakum Organization has been supported to poor people especially women group in purpose to create and expand small business for increasing daily family income through using contribution culture from each other pursuant to the strategy of the Royal Government of Cambodia in present.

2. Cooperative Partnerships

Vattanac Sahakum Organization has committed to build the relationship for working with relevant Ministries as well as local authorities, local NGOs and international NGOs to achieve its vision and mission.

Program

Micro-Credit program: This program has been supported to poor people especially women group who has purpose to create and extend their small business to be improved. Moreover, the program will be provided the concept through educational direction, information, leaflet and poster on family economy of initiative idea in small business development.

Structure

The organizational structure of Vattanac Sahakum Organization comprises of a Board Governance led by the Director of Board and an Executive Committee led and managed by an Executive Director.

Governance Board

The Governance Board is the top legislative body of the organization, and the highest institution within Vattanac Sahakum Organization. It is comprised of a group of people who are willing to assist and support Vattanac Sahakum Organization to achieve the organization’s vision, mission and goal. The positions they hold are honorary and they do not receive any financial benefit from Vattanac Sahakum Organization.

Executive Committee 

The Executive Committee is comprised of the senior group of staff, at least 2, who are employed by Vattanac Sahakum Organization to undertake the organization’s activities in order to achieve organization’s vision, mission, and goal. They are paid employees of the organization.
